Mango Private terms of use

1. The software and service

Mango Private is a corporate messenger for organizations, teams, and communities. The software includes accounts, direct and group chats, media, voice and video calls, notifications, and related features. It is deployed on the organization's own infrastructure (self-hosted) or via a managed deployment provided by OffshoreLabs.

Mango Private is developed and licensed by OffshoreLabs Studio LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom under company number 17387215. The node operator (the organization that deploys Mango Private) is responsible for administering the instance, managing user access, and setting internal usage rules on top of these base terms.

Mango Private is not an emergency-services operator. The software cannot be used to reliably reach the police, ambulance, fire department, or other emergency services.

2. Deployment and licensing

Mango Private is a commercial product. The organization acquires a license to deploy and operate the software according to the terms of the applicable license agreement or service plan. OffshoreLabs retains all intellectual property rights in the software.

Data created and stored within a Mango Private instance belongs to the organization and its users. OffshoreLabs does not claim ownership of user data processed on the organization's infrastructure.

3. Who may use it

• The user must be at least 18 years old.
• Access is determined by the organization's administrator according to internal policies.
• The user is responsible for the accuracy of their name and nickname, the security of their device, and the confidentiality of their session.
• If unauthorized access is suspected, contact the organization's administrator or write to request@mango-private.com.

4. Acceptable use

The user agrees to use Mango Private lawfully and respectfully. The following are prohibited:

• sending spam, fraudulent messages, phishing, or malicious links;
• threatening, harassing, doxxing, blackmailing, or coordinating violence;
• publishing or transmitting unlawful content, including child sexual exploitation material and illegal goods or services;
• infringing intellectual property rights, privacy, or the confidentiality of other people;
• attempting unauthorized access to accounts, chats, the API, infrastructure, or data;
• scraping, mass-collecting profiles, automating sign-ups, or otherwise circumventing service restrictions;
• interfering with the operation of the Mango Private instance, overloading the service, or distributing malicious code.

The node operator may establish additional acceptable-use rules for their instance. Those rules apply alongside these base terms.

5. User content

The user retains rights to the content they send through Mango Private. For the technical operation of the software, the user grants the operator and OffshoreLabs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, transmit, display, and deliver that content to the chosen recipients.

This license exists solely to operate the service: message delivery, media, notifications, history, forwarding, calls, support, and security. The user must have the right to send the content they share through Mango Private.

6. Privacy and data

Data processing is described in the Privacy policy. The privacy policy is part of these terms.

7. Third parties

Mango Private may rely on third-party services for hosting, storage, push notifications, calls, TURN / STUN, fonts, and email. The use of iOS, Android, APNs, FCM, and network providers is also subject to their own terms and policies. The specific third-party services depend on the operator's deployment configuration.

8. Account security

The user is responsible for the security of the device, the system screen lock, app access, and notifications. The operator and Mango Private may revoke tokens, throttle requests, block accounts, and remove access to features when needed for security, the protection of other users, or compliance with the law.

9. Suspension and termination

The user can stop using the service and request account deletion from the organization's administrator. The operator may temporarily or permanently restrict access if the user violates these terms or the operator's internal policies, creates risk for other users, the service, or infrastructure, uses the service unlawfully, or attempts to bypass restrictions.

OffshoreLabs may suspend or terminate the organization's license to operate Mango Private in accordance with the applicable license agreement.

10. Software and terms updates

OffshoreLabs may update the software and these terms to reflect new features, technical architecture, security, law, or business model. Material changes will be published on the website or communicated through the software update process. Continued use of Mango Private after changes take effect means the user accepts the updated terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Mango Private is provided "as is" and "as available". OffshoreLabs does not warrant that the software will always be available, compatible with every device, free of errors, or fully protected against every possible threat.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OffshoreLabs is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, the actions of other users, network failures, push provider issues, hosting failures, device problems, or circumstances outside reasonable control. The operator is responsible for ensuring the availability and backup of their Mango Private instance. These terms do not limit consumer rights or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
